Researcher, director and performing artist with over two decades of experience across Sri Lankan ritual performance, percussion, theatre, festive arts and cross-cultural collaboration. Research-informed creative practice connects intangible cultural and sonic heritage, ritual music, embodied performance, and contemporary performance-making. Recognition as a national artist by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Sri Lanka, Fulbright Visiting Scholarship at UCLA and postgraduate study at the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance, Ireland, showcases ongoing commitment to interdisciplinary cultural studies.
